Born April 14, 1933 in the town of Knezha.
Graduated from the Academy of Art in Sofia 1959.
From 1960 to 1975, when he left for Paris, he took part in all general art exhibitions of the Union of Bulgarian Artists. He has been awarded many prizes by the Union of Bulgarian Artists for graphic and drawing, as well as for book illustration.
His first solo exhibition was in his home town of Knezha and the second in Sofia in 1973.
His first professional engagement abroad was with a solo exhibition in the Prote gallery in Paris in 1974, and the second in the Oster gallery in Sweden in 1975.
After he left Bulgaria to live in Paris he held an exhibition in the Mc. Murray gallery in London in 1976. He signed a contract with the Regards gallery in Paris in 1975 and held his first exhibition there in 1977.
