In 2002 I began to teach myself the craft of photography and several years later I started to show photographic prints. I photograph landscape, nature and urban subjects, usually using the available light.
The prints which I have submitted to Lessedra illustrate two themes in my photography. One theme is low-light photography, often with artificial light sources providing some of the illumination. Low-light and artificial light often reveal colours and textures which would be altered or hidden during daylight. A second theme is the creation of landscape images from near my home on Vancouver Island, seeking new subjects or new approaches to well known subjects. I wish to show the land as it is, yet also in a new and unique way.

These prints were created using Rising Art Print paper coated with Digital Ground (clear, gloss finish) from Golden Artists Colors company. The printing is by a Canon brand ink-jet printer.
